The moment the contest name came up, I knew I wanted to participate in this one. I had a head that I got in a bag o' heads purchase that is definitely from some form of Robin or Nightwing, and I had a totally useless Batroc from the new line that I HAD to buy to get Thanos' body. So, I popped off that head and started modifying the Robin head to fit it. Then I had to decide which version of the boy I wanted to do and then it hit me like a 5-ton disco ball...his Nightwing costume that is affectionately referred to as 'Discowing, due to the disco-decade-inspired v-collar and shiny gold bling. Nightwing might SOUND scary and mysterious, but this costume is far from either of those. And awesome. The Batroc body has been entirely repainted from head to toe and the stand-up collar was sculpted on with epoxy putty. The head is also entirely repainted and heavily modified in the neck area...originally it had a neck on it, so I had to get all that off and fit it all Marvel Legends style. And now...my customs collection is a little more fabulous. Thanks, Discowing!
