Hello my friends , today I gave the newest character to join my Realmverse Government sponsored public superhero team "Code Blue" , Dr. Destiny Chase aka St. Longinus.

The Holy Lance , also known as the Holy Spear, Spear of Destiny, Lance of Longinus, and Spear of Longinus, is the name given to the lance that pierced the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross, according to the Gospel of John. Many churches throughout the world claim to possess this lance, although none of the claims have been proven.

Longinus is a legendary figure of Christian history as the name given in medieval and some modern Christian traditions to the Roman soldier who pierced Jesus in his side with a lance, the "Holy Lance" while he was on the Cross. This act created the last of the Five Holy Wounds of Christ. The figure is unnamed in the gospels. The Longinus legend further identifies this soldier as the centurion present at the Crucifixion, who testified, "This man certainly was the Son of God. Longinus' legend grew over the years to the point that he was said to have converted to Christianity after the Crucifixion, and he is traditionally venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, and several other Christian communions. Longinus did not start out as a saint. An early tradition, found in the 4th-century pseudepigraphal "Letter of Herod to Pilate", claims that Longinus suffered for having pierced Jesus, and that he was condemned to a cave where every night a lion came and mauled him until dawn, after which his body healed back to normal, in a pattern that would repeat till the end of time. The body of Longinus is said to have been lost twice, and that its second recovery was at Mantua in 1304, together with the Holy Sponge stained with Christ's blood, wherewith it was told—extending Longinus' role—that Longinus had assisted in cleansing Christ's body when it was taken down from the cross. The relic, corpules of alleged blood taken from the Holy Lance, enjoyed a revived cult in late 13th century Bologna under the combined impetus of the Grail romances.

There have been three or four major relics that are claimed to be the Holy Lance or parts of it (Rome, Vienna, Echmiadzin and Antioch) , The "Spear of Destiny" is a name given to the Holy Lance in various accounts that attribute mystical powers to it. Many of these have originated in recent times, and several popular New Age and conspiracy theory books have popularized the legend of the Spear.

Trevor Ravenscroft's 1973 book, The Spear of Destiny , claims that Adolf Hitler started World War II in order to capture the spear, with which he was obsessed. At the end of the war the spear came into the hands of US General George S. Patton. According to legend, losing the spear would result in death, and that was fulfilled when Hitler committed suicide and Patton died in a car accident in an army camp. Dr. Howard A. Buechner, M.D., wrote two books on the spear. Buechner was a retired colonel with the U.S. Army who served in World War II and had written a book about the Dachau massacre. He claims he was contacted by a former U-boat submariner, the pseudonymous “Capt. Wilhelm Bernhart”, who claimed the spear currently on display in Vienna is a fake. "Bernhart" said the real spear was sent by Hitler to Antarctica along with other Nazi treasures, under the command of Col. Maximilian Hartmann. In 1979 Hartmann allegedly recovered the treasures. Bernhart presented Buechner with the log from this expedition as well as pictures of the objects recovered, claiming that after the Spear of Destiny was recovered, it was hidden somewhere in Europe by a Nazi secret society.

Meet Dr. Destiny Chase , respected and independent curator of "obscure" antics for various museums and private collector from around the world (the best of the best) , daughter of the once famous archeologist Professor Lance Steven Chase , expert in religious artifacts , relics and the authority in most of their folklore legends , decided to retire after his daughter's birth , saying he finally found his true "Destiny" , and becoming a teaching professor at a major university for many years , retired once Destiny graduated from his own class with top honors and passed away 1 month later , but not without revealing the family secret , they are direct descendants of Longinus (the soldier who pierced Jesus side with a spear at the Crucifixion) and as such the rightful guardians of the True Spear of Destiny (any other would affect negatively by it's power and die) , now in this time of turmoil the Holy Lance was needed and she had been chosen , it was her "Destiny" by divine order to become the next St. Longinus and atone for the sins of her ancestor .

As the many legends states the Spear would make it's holder invencible in combat and near would heal any wound given in seconds , able to ward and repel any mystical or unholy creatures just by it's sheer presence , the Holy Lance it's perhaps , the most power weapon on the face of the Earth and most never fall on the wrong hands , a huge burden for it's new found guardian and keeper!. Thus deciding not to face this alone , she joins the superhero team "Code Blue" and together try to bring some peace and order back into the Realverse.
