Well its been awhile since I put up a new custom. Been on a star wars kick here recently and have quite a few projects in play.
First up is darth maul concept in hoth gear.

Recipe

found a figure in my fodder bin not sure exactly what its from, I do know it came from Walmart.
I had a friend base coat the legs still have trouble painting soft plastic never turns out. when I got the parts back I painted in the details and gave the suit a black wash. I then took a badly damaged darth maul figure cut of the head and arms and glued them into place. I also took the robe and cut the hood and some scraps of and glued those into place.

Base recipe

the base was made by taking some foam insulation board from lowes and cutting to fit the look I wanted. Glued the base together and base painted it black with some cheap Walmart acrylic paint. Gave it a silver dry brush followed by white all the same type of paint. For the thicker snow I mixed the paint with elmers glue and added a few small sand pebbles to the base.

Accessories

The light saber was another spare darth maul light saber I had lying around I think its from the titanium series, The binocular is a back belt piece from a stormtrooper and the scrap metal droid is from something star wars not sure though.
