First I would like to start off saying that this was a rescue mission more than a custom. I picked the base figure up at my uncles antique store along with a boat load of other figures. But he had major issues. I believe it is a Kiss Psycho Circus figure( Cat man) the previous owner painted it up with what looked to be Apple Barrel acrylics a awful flesh tone and black were mainly used. i sanded it down the best i could but im sure that gunk had been on there for nearly a decade. After i rid myself of all the chalky paint I took an old 89 shred head and armor and painted them up. Washed the base vigorously with hot water to remove all the paint dust, then began working on disassembling just to find out that most of the parts i needed out of there were just glued on in the first place. So I had to assemble a new neck joint for the new head that went by rather smoothly. I loved the armor that came with the figure so i re applied that after a fresh new coat of paint. i wanted to make him look more Japanese so i went with a darker tan flesh color than most shredders.Put some choice armor pieces from the old shredder and a wicked ass piece of fabric to give him a IDW feel. i Call this Shredder, Oni Lord Shredder and im super happy with the way it turned out, the blade fingers are the kicker to me and once i seen them i knew who this was gong to be. And although hes not super possible he is in a very bad ass ninjutsu stance that really tops it off. Thank you for looking Realmers let me know what you think
