The hired gun from japan: Tiger Claw. This assassin bounty hunter can have a real mean streak and get good and grumpy, but having your rival chop off your tail can do that to a guy. This mutant tiger was also swallowed by an extradimensial giant worm that left our dimension. Tiger Claw fought his way free and back to our world, sporting an eye patch and a sliced ear from the carnage. This battle to come home also killed part of his code of honor and has made him crankier than ever.
This custom Tiger Claw was made from a tai lung figure. I started by filling in the fur where his clothes would be and filling in the screw holes in the back of the figure. His costume is fairly complex and was pieced together from fodder. There were a lot of elements; Blasters, jet pack, eye patch, shirt, vest, holsters, bandoliers, etc. He sports a custom gun that I believe started out as Cable's blaster, but I modified it for aesthetics. The sword was from a wolverine mashers fig. I had him hold it reverse style to add to the movement lines of the character and to keep from intersecting other forms. The whole figure was primed and painted top to bottom and the last paint aps were barely dry when I took the pics (resulting in some weird reflections on his nose occasionally).
Well thanks for looking and voting gang! I hope you like this rendition of our favorite mutant tiger bounty hunter!
I was informed by Optimus Primer that this custom tiger claw was featured on Brandon Auman's Instagram account. Auman is the Executive Producer and Head Writer for the Nickelodeon TMNT animated TV show. Thanks for letting me know Optimus!
Thanks vic! This fig was in a bag of toys I bought at savers because it had a martain man hunter in it. I was about to toss it.in thee junk bin and noticed it wasn't a mcd's toy and the sculpt was pretty good. Set it aside untill I found all the fodder I needed.
