So, while I was happy that we finally got a Sentry in the Marvel Legends Infinite series, I wanted one that was more like how he appeared in the mini-series "Age of the Sentry", as I am a BIG fan of Silver Age Superman stories, and that Mini-Series presented the Sentry in a series of stories that were homages to classic Silver Age Superman adventures.
So, to do this figure, I took a standard Marvel Legends Infinite Sentry, and using the boil and pop method, I swapped his standard boots out for the swashbuckler boots of the Marvel Legends Hyperion. Once the boots were swapped, I removed the head, cape, and belt, and then gave the hands, wristbands, trunks, cowl, and boots a base coat of light gray, followed by two coats of Testors Model Masters French Blue. Once the blue paint had dried, I gave those areas now painted blue two generous coats of Flat Clear. Next, I repeated those steps on the cape and belt, adding Testors Model Masters Flat White to the area of the belt containing the "S" symbol. Once the paint work was complete, I took the masked head from a Marvel Legends Infinite Target Exclusive 3-Pack Ultimate Captain America, and repainted the mask with the Testors Model Masters French Blue, followed by two generous coats of Flat Clear. Once the Flat Clear had dried, I put the belt, cape, and head back on the figure, and TA-DA...the Sentry as he appeared in the Age of the Sentry Mini-Series!!!
Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
