This looks fantastic although I agree that I bit of sanding on the elbow and knee pads might be an improvement.

Thanks! I actually just answered phineus why I don't remove the pads. Check what I wrote to him in comments. I would write the same to you but it's lengthy and typing on my phone is slightly a chore.

You know bud, you're making these look so good that I think you should consider knocking down the elbow and knee pads. I know you probably don't need the extra grief and who knows if they'd even be solid, but..damn, if you're not making them look pretty for what they are. Anyway - meant as a compliment. Lovely work as usual.

Thanks for the comment! As far as the elbows and knee pads go I have 2 reasons why I don't sand them and make them flush with the leg.
First reason is the plastic is just to thin. I learned this the hard way with my first one (giant man I believe). The plastic is roughly 1/16 inch making a sanding job into a complete retooling of both knees and elbows possibly loosing articulation on the way.
The second reason is more of just a personal preference. If I was heading out to face God knows what I would personaly have myself some added protection especially on my knees and elbows, so the padding to me just make sense.

Hope that helps and again thanks for taking the time to comment.

Yeah I thought as much about it being more of a plastic shell and the likely possibility of you hitting voids but I've been enthusiastic about your work on these, because they've been coming out so nicely despite what the base bodies are. I mean all you can do is work the aesthetics if not messing with the articulation or sculpt and I'd say you are already bringing these things around to the best that they could possibly look, so..yeah - do please continue.
Blather over.
