"Presenting the most dangerous villain Superman has ever faced in ... THE POWER OF THE PARASITE. He feeds on living energy!" (from the cover of Action Comics #340, first appearance of the Parasite) The Parasite was a mild-mannered worker in an atomic laboratory until the atomic wastes polluted his body. He became an energy-absorbing monster that could suck up the life force of any human. Eventually, he tried his powers on Superman. But the Man of Steel was too much for him and the Parasite exploded from an energy overdose. But somehow super-villains never seem to die. Some alien creatures restored the Parasite to his monstrous form, and once again he turned his energies to destroying Superman. Recipe: I decided to take the classic design from the Silver Age era Parasite and update him by using a body with a newer design. It’s a Prometheus Engineer figure repainted and dry brushed with layers of black, different shades of purple, green and white. ![]() |
