Hulkbuster 'Movie Style' Iron Man (Iron Man) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:7091
Name:Hulkbuster 'Movie Style' Iron Man
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Iron Man
Creator:Jin Saotome
Date Added:April 14, 2008
Base Figure:Iron Monger series 1
Height:7.50 inches
Here's Iron Man in a movie-style Hulkbuster Armor. Since the new Incredible Hulk movie is coming up I figured the two could clash, Stark whipping out with his super armored suit to combat the jade behemoth. It was made using the Iron Monger body with new feet, arm, and shoulder sections of an Armored Core import figure and a regular Mark IV I'm head. I used Testors clear red this time for a more solid red metallic color and darkened the clear yellow with some orange for a golden tint. The shoulders open up to reveal more repulsors too. Enjoy!

A couple of questions. Which armored core figure, specifically, did you use for the new feet, arms, and shoulders?
And did you paint this whole thing in flat black first with the drybrushed silver approach, then the clear paint?
Thanks.

The feet, bicep armor, and shoulders came from a red Armored core robot fig that kinda looks like the Blodia, heh.
My method of painting I'm is to basecoat the whole figure in testors flat black, drybrush with Mithril silver, then 2 coats of Tamiya clear red and yellow. Or 3 coats of testors clear colors depending on how deeo a shade you want.

That's awesome dude. I was actually wondering if they were going to make a movie style Hulkbuster Iron Man since Tony Stark will be in the new Hulk movie played by Robert Downey Jr.
This is sweet. Makes me want to do it myself. Haha.
