IMO Grant Morrison was the best when he wrote the JLA during the 90's!! And one of his best stories, besides Rock of Ages, was when General Eiling found out he had a tumor and then had his brain removed, ala Ultra-Humanite, and transfer it into the Shaggy Man's body!
