It bothered me that Bryan Singer gave the X-Men boring black matrix-like costumes for all of his movies. First Class was the only movie that brought the yellow and blue that we all have come to know and love about the X-Men. So I thought it would be fun to take the movie figures and repaint them to match their comic book color scheme. Given the success of using comic accurate, extravagant costumes as seen in all of the Avengers movies, Spiderman movies, and Watchmen, I think it's time to transition out of the black and into the comic book colors to do justice to the X-Men franchise.

I liked the '90s cartoons but was never a fan of the bright gaudy suits. You hit a sweet spot with these repaints where the characters are much more recognizable while not being overly goofy looking.

Nice! These movies would still massively suck, even with a more comic accurate color scheme, but at least they would look a bit better! Your figures look way better than they did in the movies! In my opinion, the latest two X-men flicks were an improvement over the first three, and The Wolverine was the best of the Sony Marvel movies, but it left me feeling annoyed that we never got to see him pull on the old brown and orange with the mask to kill some ninjas! Have they ever read a Wolverine or X-men book?!?!

Yeah I think the X-Men trilogy was the weakest of the on-going Marvel films. First Class and Days of Future Past definitely raised the standards and it looks like they are going in the right direction. Brown and Orange suit would have been SICK! Maybe in another Wolverine stand-alone movie, before Hugh gets too old!

Cool figures but I have to say I never ever liked the blue and yellow X-Men suits (especially on Wolverine... his yellow costume looks ridiculous, at least his brown suit was better). Ditching those is one of the many reasons the X-movies are my fave films based on Marvel stuff by far (can't stand the Avengers, ugh). :P But hey everyone's entitled to their own opinion eh.

Thanks. This comes as a shock to me as I have never heard anyone criticize the color scheme of X-Men or the Avengers in general. But that's why there will always be critics and an interest debate on superhero movie renditions. We can agree to disagree.

These look great, bud. I've never been a huge fan of the X-Men movies for exactly the reason you stated, (that and I don't think they're that good) and whenever I bring this up in nerdy circles the immediate response is to defend the black leather looks. You've proven that I was right all along! Huzzah!

Well with the timeline shift, we might get to see better costumes in Age of Apocalypse. There was a scene cut from the end of The Wolverine which revealed a full-on yellow Wolverine suit with a traditional mask and all.
