Wanted a more modern looking version of the Sentinel for my Legends. The old BAF sentinel is awesome for it's time, but is kind of scrawny with too many exposed wires and way too much paint wear, making it look like he's been sitting on the scrap heap for ten years. At least Toy Biz used to bother with dry brush paint apps! The Marvel Universe Sentinel had a great head sculpt and awesome light and sound features, but essentially looked like a guy dressed up as a Sentinel for Halloween. It took me weeks of carving and sculpting to get rid of his thigh muscles, biceps, abs, back muscles, and belly button! That's right, he had a belly button! I sculpted him some more mechanical looking armor, gave him some bendy capture tendrils from the Legends BAF Sentinel, and then tried my hand at air brushing! I love air brushes! The metallic finish turned out even better than I had hoped. I still gave him some dry brushed paint wear, but unlike the Legends Sentinel, this one still looks like he's got a few more good years of mutant murder left in him. This guy looks tougher than anything else in my Marvel Legends collection, and I'm really happy I finally took the time and the two and a half packs of Milliput it took to make him happen!
