I've basically been making my own Superman the animated series line for over a year now. Some figures you would think that I wouldn't have to make since mattel made many of them in the JLU line. Toyman, Lobo, Parademons, Kalibak & some others are fine. Livewire is pretty decent although she shouldn't have the high heels legs. But I can deal with that on her. Others like Weather Wizard, Parasite, & yes Dr Fate they dropped the ball on. They just made the figures too small. I already made my own version of Weather Wizard & Parasite. I figured it was time to fix another on of mattel's blunders with Dr. Fate. It's odd, I kind of hate the buck I used when mattel used it for Sinestro. But I find that it really works for Dr. Fate. Plus I had a few of those Yellow Lantern Sinestro's laying around.....lol

First I boiled & popped the arms & head from Sinestro. Then I did the same with the mattel Dr Fate. The arms & head are done well, just mattel used a small buck for him. Watch the cartoon, Dr Fate is not that small. I too the Dr Fate arms & head & transplanted them into the Sinestro body. Yes, I was able to kee all the articulation in tact. Painted the entire figure & used the Dr Fate cape. Sometimes the simplest custom turn out pretty good. So much better than the retail release IMO.
