I've had this Iron Man figure around for what seems like forever-I picked up a few of them when the first movie came out on clearance and they've been getting stale, so I figured it was time to use one of them up. Actually a fairly easy custom to do, mostly painting and mixing and matching. Like usual, the figure was washed and cleaned, then everything was repainted. I tried to stick with a more menacing look-the dude is a weapon after all. I especially like how the well the black settled and how the silver paints I mixed look like actual metal. Left gun arm was from the fodder bin, just popped off the pegs and transferred it onto the figure. The rocket pods on each leg came from an old Gundam figure, I just thought they looked too cool to pass up and they were small and easy to transfer over. I did keep the original figures shoulder weapons/missile firing gun. Once again, I figured, hey he's a BA fighting machine, lets give him as many guns as we can! Finally, everything got coated with sealer to keep that fresh look as long as possible. ![]() |
