Next up on the Bat-movie concepts is Hush.

I like Hush for a few reasons, both because of the character he is and the character he isn’t.
Hush was kind of a refreshing breath to the Batman rogue gallery. Majority of Batman’s enemies are more eccentric-lunatics in the bright costumes with crazy gags and signature moves and traits or superhuman powers. On top of this, their plans usually involved taking over Gotham, killing Batman or something pretty straightforward and fairly basic in plot.

Enter Hush. In his intro, Hush was a different kind of enemy. He didn’t have superpowers or crazy weapons-he was just a smart guy who had medical training and was good with manipulation and fire-arms. He didn’t have some crazy, bright costume either, at least in his first appearance-he looked just like a normal person with bandages on his face.

On top of that, he didn’t want to rule Gotham or kill Batman. He wanted to kill Bruce Wayne. His entire goal was to ruin Bruce, Bruce just happened to be Batman. Hush didn’t want to rule Gotham or pull off a bank heist or take on the Bat as a status symbol-he just wanted to make his former friend suffer.
As a normal human with no superpowers and a realistic (albeit twisted) goal, and the fact he could keep up with Batman (as well as other major villains), I found Hush to be cool.
As such, I wanted to do this ‘Movie Concept’ type figure as if he appeared in the Nolan-verse. No backstory to try to fit him in this time though.

I kept the basic idea of the Nolan-verse of a real world look and combined it with his comic look. I wanted a normal looking person who turned into a villain. He’s not wearing any noticeable armor or sporting anything crazy-just normal clothes and boots.

I kept the trench coat that he sports, but made it black instead of brown. Besides the fact I didn’t have a brown coat, I liked the black-it looked more menacing.

Bandages were pieces of cloth cut into strips, wrapped around his head and then super glued on.

Finally, Hush sports two pistols to wield against the Dark Knight (which come with holsters).
