Richard...we have missed your black and blue. I have however figured out some options for my "rainbow lantern wave" of dc figures. Right now in the Dc Richard is a secret agent following whats happened with the crime syndicate. So on his new mission. rescuing Captain Atom, a mission that goes very, very wrong. A blast of energy from Cap causes them to quantum jump into Earth 2 ! As they sort through trying to figure out where they are they run afoul of that earths batman. Richard, developing an uneasy bond fights alongside this batman and with the odds outnumbering them, Bats 2 makes the ultimate sacrifice to ensure their escape. Richard, seeing the world already has military...and needing more symbols of regular people standing up to fight the good fight returns to the batcave to make himself a new suit. Nightwing returns, But instead of the red he had been wearing (red hood, red robin) He chooses blue. No one had ever heard of him on earth 2 but he is fast becoming the go to guy and a hero to heroes. I figured he doesn't like capes and the bulky belts but he needs something to carry extra stuff in...and a backpack seemed perfect, the escrima sticks can stay n or come out, they turn into a short staff also and for those high speed pursuits or stealth dives ? The pack "unfolds" into glider wings for very short flights. The pack and the wings are switched out through the power of Velcro. I first thought making a hole in his back and posts on the packs but it was kind of a one shot deal. then I thought magnets but they weren't strong enough...finally Velcro it was. and it has worked out so well on the gloss black of his pack and his flat black suit Black lantern Hal Jordan New 52 Batman arms and legs Hush Nightwing head, modified. Backpack from Black Manta Flight wings X Men archangel Gloss black boots and gloves, flat black body suit and a blue/purple mix for the blue on him. The symbol is unique, I haven't seen one exactly like it anywhere. I like how it has the "beak" on the top but if you look between the beak you see the batears as well. ![]() |
