Movie Gimli just lacks a certain something that makes dwarves so awesome, so I decided to revamp him for the new duds contest to make him a bit tougher looking and more burly. The Juggernaut base really gives him the muscles and broadness you expect from a dwarf. I gave him a bigger axe, a bigger mustache and beard and a big ole knuckle duster to really crack some orc skulls. I opted to keep all the armor on his shoulders and arms because I always imagined him as a berserker type fighter that doesn't want to be weighed down by a ton of armor. In my mind Gimli would be less concerned about getting hurt, and more concerned about putting his axe in some ones face.
Awesome creativity here! Seriously great rendition of Gimli, reminds me of something out of Warhammer's Dwarf Slayers world. Where did this head come from?
Thanks! It's funny you mention that, this was originally going to be a Warhammer dwarf. The head is a bit of a hodge podge. The top of the head down to the eyes are from an Absorbing man, the beard is Wonder Woman hair, and the bit in the middle is sculpted.
