With so many announcements being made about Mortal Kombat X, my interest in that particular fighting game has been getting slowly renewed. I started thinking back over characters I had wanted to make, but still ended up putting most off. I much prefer the simplicity of Street Fighter. Not always their designs, but the fact that they generally look the same in each game. Ryu always looks like Ryu, Chun Li always looks like Chun Li. She has like one different costume. Reptile, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Shang Tsung, ect ect, all look quite different from game to game. It's annoying. But, after a few recommendations, I finally decided to give a few a shot. And opted to start simple. So, taking a step away from the Nasty Boys for a moment, here's a couple to get us started. I recently picked up the official three pack release of the Cyber Ninjas. I always thought it was Sektor, Cyrax, and Cyber Subzero. But, no, it's a blue Smoke. I looked it up to double check, and sure enough, Cyber Smoke is supposed to be purple. This bugged me. More than it probably should, but I felt the need to rectify that. So, I grabbed Cyrax from the pack and gave him a very careful and tedious repaint. Came out great, and now we have a properly colored Cyber Smoke. Who's bright idea was it to make him blue?
