"I am Iron Man." - Tony Stark

Just a (not so) simple repaint of the Hasbro Marvel Legend Iron Man Classic. I'm trying to complete a set of Iron Man armors and I'd be lying if I didn't say that the Bowen Iron Man statues have been quite the inspiration in terms of the look for these fellas. I took him apart, sanded all the joints and then put him back together painted the matte black first and this time I did something a little different with the silver. I first placed several layers of Testor's Silver and then added shading by mixing the Testor's Silver and Tamiya gunmetal. A subtle touch to give the "Iron" a more dynamic look, the red parts on this guy really pop. I then added multiple layers of Testor's clear red and applied a coat of clear gloss acrylic to the gold and there you have 'em Iron Man Classic.
