So I had this drug store light up motorcycle and had seen that another user on this site had used the same bike for his custom Legends Ghost Rider, I thought it was a cool concept and decided to try it myself, I decided to try something similar to the movies, particularly the second one where the bike looks like it's burning and melting, I thought it looked cool. I sanded and stripped the bike, laying down a black base coat using un-thinned Apple Barrel paint, the thickness of the paint gave the surface coats kind of a chunky/chipped texture, then I went over it with several drybrushes of Tamiya Gunmetal and Chrome silver and a black wash, I think the result came out like a chromed out bike that just happens to be on fire. I Glued the wheel's in a stationary position since the bike is meant to be used as a Display piece, then sculpted the flames using Aves,I re sculpted the handle bars so that the figure can sit leaning back as the MS Ghost Rider has limited articulation, I sculpted a skull over the headlamp leaving the eyes and nose open so that the light would still show through, then I added a flame effect from the Legends Green Goblin BAF, but kept it removable so that I could put it on my GR figure or position it differently on the bike depending on how I want to display it. I also Sanded down all the buttons leaving only the one that turns on the light and engine revving noise Also because of the Bike's size I think it scales better with 7" Neca / Select figures and that's what I used to Display it with. ![]() |
