So I bought the Jabba from an SDCC scalper well ahead of prices coming WAAAYY down... and in the end I did it for the muppet. I figured if I was to own Jabba, I had to own Salacious crum. But I was not satisfied with the idea of displaying this set in its box... So what did I do? What any obsessive customizer & displayer would do, I made my own throne to justify this lofty purchase.
I started with a 2" slab of foam and cut it to the dimensions of the SDCC packaging. I then matched details form the box's design by cutting grooves into the foam, slathered it with MagicKote

Dude--THIS dio rocks!! Such an AWESOME piece with loads of details--the 6 inch Star Wars line is so good, for the most part, and this display is BAD-A$$!! Is that one of OJJ's cast Han's?--those things are ON POINT--solid resin! AGAIN--great job on this! I want to do an Emperor's Throne room for my Vader and Luke--this is inpsiring, brother!!

Throne room is a must. I'm taking a look at how to make that window now. I'm gonna have to move my whole DCU shelf elsewhere.

Ole Jade Jaw has cast the Carbonite Han in 6 inch--SOLID RESIN cast. It's on his IG, and Facebook I think. You HAVE to get one!! Can't wait to see your Emperor--I was gonna use a Maul figure and sculpt over the extra head from the rubber robe. There's a guy I get custom Jedi robes from online that would look SICK. They are totally sewn to scale--hang correctly, and the hoods are exactly they way they should be--they droop/hang just right. Best I've seen yet -he goes by Rickhor409 on the bay--check out his work. My Emperor's on the back burner for now. Again--your work is awesomesauce!!

Ah gotcha. No that's one of my own casts. It's hollow to alow lighting of the side panels & face. Haven't mastered the lighting yet but it's got to be kinda simple.

Ha. Thanks. Yeah I'm currently waiting on my robes to arrive. I've got an ANH Kenobi awaiting paint and a couple other things going.

Ill probably make my own Emperor robes though. Got to find the proper material. Got to have that corduroy look to it.
