As a huge Star Trek fan and collector of the 90's Playmates figures, I was rather sad that Playmates never produced figures of Star Trek - Enterprise, which in my opinion was one of the best Trek-shows. So I decided to customize the main crew in my preferred 4.5" size.

For Subcommander T'Pol, I used the Uhura figure from Playmates' Star Trek - The Motion Picture line as base for the body. I sanded and dremeled most of the body and re-sculpted the uniform with apoxie.

The head is an Art Asylum T'Pol head shrunken down to fit the size with Hydroshrink. While making the casting of the head, I was able to re-sculpt the neck and peg according to the standards used by Playmates in order to retain articulation.

Then I painted the figure with enamel paint by Revell. It took several layers to get the look of T'Pol's first and second season uniform right.
