I wanted to make a Star Wars 6 inch scale horror figure. I never read Deathtroopers but loved the concept of a zombie Stormtrooper. I made a few in the past but always wanted to do more with them. The trooper was given a new zombie head, and the helmet was hollowed out to fit over it. It is completely removable from the zombies head and can be posed on or off. I damaged the figure in various ways to reflect what the trooper had been through. He has blaster shots on his leg, where the unfortunate rebel didn't get the memo that only head shots count. He has scratches that are from wear and tear of being a zombie and walking into to things. He has a damaged helmet to expose his open mouth. He has the original bite wound that caused the infection on his lower calf. Still not gory enough? I didn't think so either. I tore into his ribcage armor and sculpted his intestines. The intestines are spilling out of his lower abdomen and are sculpted in flexible sculpt to allow movement at the hips and ab crunch to continue. For paint, I dirtied up the normally pristine white armor. Then I painted everything by hand including the zombie head and mouth. I tried a few new techniques while painting and it had a great result. All of the injury sections and mouth contain a blood colored paint that simulates injury and looks like wet blood. See the video review for more detail. Still want more gore? Me too. I then used a new paint that I picked up to simulate the wounds being infected. The intestines, bite wound, and mouth all have a clear snot green puss colored paint oozing from them. In the past my Deathtroopers always carried a gun out of habit, dragging it along. This still comes with a heavy gun but has a brand new accessory that I never did before. This trooper comes with a severed arm that has chewed bite marks from where he was eating someone who wasn't quite fast enough to get away. The arm is covered in wet blood colored paint and poses in his hand better than a blaster. He was primed using Citadel primer, and hand painted using Citadel, Tamiya, Formula P3, Model Masters, and other paints. Some areas are glossy, metallic and some are flat. The colors are different shades of grays, blacks, reds, metallics, blues, and others. ![]() |
