Female Thor! She was done long before Marvel announced their new female Thor, I just never got around to paint her until now. The idea for the design was to end up with something that would be a mix of the movie Thor costume and Comic Thor. In the end, there's a lot more movie Thor in her with some Comic Thor accents. The cape pegs into her back and can be removed. She was printed at 7.36 inches so she'd be as tall as her Marvel Select counterpart. I don't know if the issue was scaling paired with the printing inaccuracy when you scale things up, but the hands pegs came out sorta loose and I had to glue them in place. The rest was fine. I tried a few new paints on her. Got tired of the bad coverage of some of the cheap acrylic metallics and purchased some citadel paints for the hammer, gold and skin, too. The quality turned out to be worth the price. The hammer was done from scratch and 3D printed too. She was one of the more fun to paint figures so far. ![]() |

Either way, I don't know enough about the limitations of actual action figure constructions to answer those questions for myself right now, coupled with the thought of dealing with some chinese factory and whether they could do any necessary articulation tweaks themselves or not, plus maintaining a kickstarter = currently overwhelming
Without looking the prices up now... I'd say the printing of all the pieces was around $120-130. Just scaling a figure up from 7 to her 7.36 inch adds about $30-40 to the price. It's rather brutal.
Time wise she took around 2 evenings to do all the 3D work, 4-6 hours in total. There's a lot of reuse from previous figures: the cape is a modified version of the one I did for Powergirl, the bracelets are from my previous Barbarian girl and for the boots and pants I used the Shield Agent parts as base. The helmet, hair and upper torso were really the only parts that needed some proper thought.
