This is an original character design I created, His name is Tesla. Once an engineer working on the forefront of wireless energy technology, Tesla was the most brilliant person in his field. After being ostracized for his ideas of a world full of free energy, Tesla was abducted by a big-shot power company. They didn't like the idea losing money, so they decided to murder Tesla in a fashion most befitting to the situation. Tesla was bound & bombarded with an ultra high dosage of wireless, electricity from his own device.

The power company dumped Tesla's body into a river, which immediately jump-started his heart & brain. Tesla had absorbed so much energy, his body now constantly absorbs energy from thin air. He also gained the ability to discharge his energy in the form of electricity via physical contact.
He now wears a version of his technology to amplify the amount of energy he can store, and uses high tech electric weaponry, capable of firing electric bolts or as melee weapons. Another effect of his weapons is an electro-magnetic shield he can create by smacking them together.

He's now a mercenary for hire
