Hi everyone, I'm Nesar Nadim Talukdar from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I'm a newbie when it comes to customs, but I did this out of love.

Batman is my favorite comic book hero. I wanted a definitive Batman for my shelf (I've got several Batman figures but there was always something I was unhappy with, eg. DC Collectibles Arkham City Batman's chin was a bit narrow; I always liked Batman with a broad chin). I loved the DC Direct Jim Lee Hush headsculpt and the Mattel DC Superheroes body (rereleased as Batman Legacy Modern Batman). Inspired by the many Batman customizers on Figurerealm, I decided to do this custom. A huge thank you to Figurerealm and all its customizers.

Recipe:

*Head: DC Direct Batman Reactivated (a repaint of the Hush head). I repainted the blue with black acrylic. Had to repaint it several times before I was happy with it (I had to remove it all, and start from scratch several times to get that smooth finish).

*Body: Mattel Batman Legacy Modern Batman figure.

*Lower part of cowl / 'collar': from Mattel DC Superheroes Zipline Batman. I had to saw off most of the Legacy Modern Batman's neck so that the collar would sit correctly.

Attaching the DC Direct head to the collar so that it stayed on and there was articulation involved a lot of trial-and-error. At one point I thought: 'That's it! Forget the articulation! I'll just super-glue the head on there!'

But luckily I persisted, and succeeded without ruining the figure!

*Cape: Custom with wire sewn along the edges.

The cape can be posed so that it's spread out or billowing in the wind. I made the cape using a pattern of the 1989 Batman movie cape I found online.

My wife helped me sew the wire along the edges. Once, I ruined her stitching trying different wires, and at 12:30 AM she came to the rescue with her needle and thread (I'm a lucky guy!).

The figure wouldn't have looked as cool without her work so she deserves a HUGE thank you.
