I've seen a few of these sets customized already, and it was fun taking a crack at it myself. I liked the new TMNT 1990 Movie classics figures, but they lacked a bit of depth and shading in their paint job. I also took a tip from "RoboKillah" on Fwoosh regarding swapping the 3 layers of their heads around using the boil-and-pop method. ;c) This made it possible to give them each a bit more of their individual personalities.

First I swapped around Leo, Don, & Raph's mouths. I think how they ended up fit them better. I thought Mikey's already fit well enough.

I decided not to mess with their original green because I like the darker look. I did a very dark wet-brush over their bodies to give their skin and shells some depth and detail. I also painted their finger/toe nails a greenish-yellow. The heads were kinda fun. First, a bit of green paint around their eyes made a huge difference. I "dirtied" up their masks a bit and then added spots to their heads, cheeks, shoulders, and thighs.

It wasn't a major change to the existing figures, but I think they do look a bit more movie-accurate now.
