As Angel, he was an original member of the X-men. Years later, the manipulative villain Apocalypse transformed him into one of his 4 Horsemen, the Horseman of Death with wings of steel.
During that time as a servant of Apocalypse, he clashed with his own mutant friends. Though he would eventually return to become part of the different X teams again as Archangel, a team member with a dark past.
The Hasbro Marvel Legends Archangel is a good figure but I wanted to make him look bigger and stronger. I used the Archangel wings and put them on a taller, more muscular body. It’s a repainted Toxin body with Hyperion forearms and Drax head.
The last photo has some Marvel Legends figures with similar size body molds. It’s my own version of the 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse: War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death.
Congrats on the Silver. This is a beast of custom. I really don't know where to start. I love the bigger beefier base (say that five times fast), The Drax head is the perfect level of broodiness (is that even a word?) and the paint apps are absolutely spot on. Great job my friend.

And, I like the beefy, but I've always thought of him as more lean. Maybe something like a beefier Spider-Man could work, or something like that?
