When Jason Todd, the second Robin, was brutally murdered by the Joker and thought dead, Dr. Hugo Strange got wind of it. Immediately making his way down to Ethiopia, Hugo Strange surreptitiously swapped out Jason Todd's body for a dummy, convinced that he could salvage what was left of the second boy wonder. He brought Jason Todd's corpse to his associate Dr. Peter Corso who was coerced by Strange to revive Todd. Dr. Corso, an expert in cybernetics, created high-tech prosthetic limbs to replace those that had been mangled by the Joker's beating and the ensuing explosion. This project was codenamed "Project April Moon", Strange holding Corso hostage to perform the experiments on Jason at his behest. Gradually piecing Todd together and keeping him in stasis while the technology was perfected, Jason Todd was eventually fully brought back to life as the adult Red Hood, unleashed by Strange back upon Batman's household.
When I saw the Waffle House theme, the first character that popped into my head was Red Hood and indeed, Red Hood is used in the thumbnail. It's a character who has been done many times so I was looking for a spin to put on the character. I decided to go with the above back-story. The base figure is ML Fantomex with legs from a Terminator figure and left arm and helmeted head, with added sculpt, from Winter Soldier. Vest is from the ML Ultimate Captain America figure. The boots are from the original DC Direct Hush. The unmasked head is from a World War Z Gerry Lane figure, with sculpted-on hair, mask and metal face plate. Sculpted on the Bat-symbol and the cuffs of the boots. Made the holsters from scratch with plastic blister packaging folded into the shape. Appreciate your votes.
Cool Red Hood and story! You have nice mechanical details for his cyborg parts. I also like the two red guns you used. All the great elements you added make this a truly original take on the character.
