**ADDED THE UNMASKED HEAD PIC** Okay--first off-- MAD PROPS to KENT32 for kicking this recipe out before me. He executed this fantastically and I directly credit him for inspiring me to finish this dude after languishing on the sidelines! Thanks Kent!! I used the David figure, because it has great articulation and it comes with TWO Fassbender heads! I sculpted the iconic Magneto helmet onto the space helmet head, and simply repainted the maskless head to match the actor (not pictured here). I sculpted the chest armor and had to shave off a lot of the neck sculpt on the original figure becasue he was designed for a massive 1970's style glass bathrub helmet, LOL. I sculpted over most of the peg joints to smooth out and provide a realistic look. The cape is wired and sealed for posing. Although I wanted to go with my standard, massive, flowing cape, I was schooled by close customizer allies to stick close to the film's half-cape on one side and full length on the other (why Singer went with that look I'll never know). Any way--as many of you know, Magneto is my favorite 'sort-of' villain, and so I HAD to make this! Again, hat's off to Kent32 for his awesome rendition! Critiques always welcome! Thanks! - Fitz ![]() |
