Good afternoon fellow realmers. First off I'd like to thank TopflightTony for letting me use his recipe as I had this figure laying around and I've been on a Turtles kick as of late. I had intended to start right off with a Mondo in his regular attire so painted the whole figure a flat green. Got a head from a random $1 dino and proceeded to give it details. Slit it's mouth open and sculpted in teeth for a smile, sculpted eyes. As I was viewing reference photos I saw a hippie mondo toy I remember having as a kid dubbed Rock n Roll Mondo Gecko. I loved that figure since it had a guitar skateboard and flower sidekick(intend to make that guy eventually). Figured since I had some Bratz outfits that would fit the style(bell bottoms and all) I would do this version 1st so I wouldn't have to sculpt his ripped shorts and shirt right away. Wood guitar came from some nutcracker, added wheels from a Hot Wheels then a foam strap with Velcro to attach to bottom of guitar. He was given hair from Ultimate Doc Ock and a ribbon for his headband. Belt made from foam and attaches in front by Velcro. Small necklace made and small chain given. Sloppy slippers made some time back for different figure slid onto his feet. Microphone held onto tail by clear plastic tie. A very fun custom to make and possibly my most photogenic. :) Hope you all like. Any comments welcome.
