Are these allowed here? I'd say they were an action figure, but I haven't seen anyone else post one here. I looked at some forums for Hot Toys and they didn't seem nearly as cool. Hot Toys has released Captain America, Captain America Rescue Version, Captain America Star Spangled Man, and Red Skull from the film, First Avenger, but they have yet to release a Bucky Barnes. So, I finally got off my ass and made my own. I took a Jeremy Renner head and modified it a LOT, taking off the wrinkles, the hoods over the outside of the eyes, the nose a lot, then repainted him in an effort to look more like Sebastian Stan. (I know its not perfect, but I’m not a sculptor and this was as close as I could get). He has Rescue Cap’s shoes, aftermarket WW2 spats that I dyed from green to brown, pants from an Expendables Hot Toy, belt from a Dragon figure, repainted, First Avenger Cap’s gun, Coulson’s hands, and then I custom made (sewing and pattern drafting yay!) the black undershirt and blue peacoat.

Now the fighting duo is complete!

(and I guess you guys can tell that I really like Bucky Barnes. heh. )

The mods you made to the head are flawless. I really can't imagine replacing it. This is a Bucky worthy of the Hot Toys line....too rich for my blood, I would be too timid to risk customizing an expensive base like that. Hats off to you.

Wow, amazing paints!!! I think a lot of the guys here can agree that lady customizers as yourself and christinacxxx are far superior at painting faces than us chumps! And those eyes, they look so real.

Beautiful work Ms. Buff, you got some real talent. Your customs always look as if they walked out straight from the screen. Very nice paint apps and parts selection, not to mention the life like uniform you sewed for him. Keep up the amazing work. P.s. NEVER wouldve known that this head was Jeremy Renner.

Thanks for your interest! Right now I am pretty well booked all the way through September before I take any new commissions or requests. I know Hot Toys has made a variety of Tony Stark out of his armor, and I'm pretty sure they've done Batman a few times, though I don't know which versions, since I pretty much am a Marvel lady. My further customs for Hot Toys, are just a Stuttgart Loki, and finishing my army uniform Steve Rogers, maybe making a plain clothes Black Widow like from the Cap 2 movie.

hot toys made Winter Soldier, so I just ordered him. The reason I made Bucky Barnes is because they didn't.

I think he ended up costing me $127, after I figured it out. I didn't use a Hot Toys body, used one of those $30 bodies. I bet a lot of people put at least $50 into their customs since you need more than one figure to do a lot of them. So, its not as bad as it seems! Feels cheap to me though, since I am used to dealing with $800+ dolls.

Awesome job, he looks great. Of coarse Hot Toys are allowed! I think the reason that we don't see a lot of them is because they can be rather expensive. But always glad to see someone with enough confidence to do it!
