Movie Optimus Prime is by far my most favorite incarnation of the character and I love the new Evasion Mode Optimus Prime mold but find the Hasbro release to be coloured like a cheap knock off product and was tempted to buy the Takara one but it was far too expensive. So I bought the Hasbro one anyways and decided to paint it up with much more detail than even the Takara version.
Painted all the gray parts with black then drybrushed silver which I also applied to other areas which needed it (such as the head, arms, feet and above the feet between the legs. Added brass paint to various details. Added flame decal stickers from Reprolabels cos I can't paint those myself (wish they had supplied some for the forearms but oh well).

Will add a transformation photo sometime but it's mostly the same as it was but with some extra details and the silver flame sticks on the center of the stripe from Reprolabels too.

For reference I used stills from the movies, photos of other people's customs of this figure and my own Buster Prime figure. Left the insides of those shoulder bits red (while painting the rest of them silver) cos that forms part of the truck's lower panels and while it does look fine in silver (such as on the Takara version), I'm at the moment undecided about them. If I choose to do those completely in silver it'll be when I next update the figure (i've got a few lil ideas I may want to try later and a some more detail stickers from the reprolabels sticker sheets).

It a lil messy cos I am not a great painter nor have the skill, steady hand or patience but I think movie TF's are supposed to look a lil messy and battle worn and bit rusty anyways so it works. Also I am not a great photographer so the pics came out a lil dark and grainy but again I think that somehow looks cool. Anyways I'm a lot happier with this figure now. :)
