What started out as a minor retooling turned into a major overhaul on this figure from top to bottom. I'm kind of against posting the same custom figure with just some minor tweaks as a brand new post, but the work here was so extensive that it warranted a new submission. Originally, I was just going to redo the hair which was just a bunch of spikes on her head (that kept breaking off as well as looking butt ugly). But than one thing led to another and I've pretty much created an entirely new custom from an old one. Starting from the top is a brand new 'do' made out of my new favorite sculpting material. Not perfect but for some reason Jubilee's hairstyle is hard to get right. While I was working on the head I figured I'd reshape her face a bit. Than I thought I'd quickly swap out the upper arms with X3 Jean Grey's and be done but I just couldn't look at those cloth jeans anymore. Bush league. So I sculpted the jorts this time and kept the old belt. At this point I was already invested so I gave her skinny little legs some thickness and shaved down her torso giving her a curvier look and sculpted her boots for good measure. Now we're talking! The original coat I used sucked and was too short. There was no way I could put that back on after all this work. I used an old Trinity coat and sculpted a new collar with flaps. Much better. I than repainted the whole thing and this time I tried to make her actually look Chinese as opposed to Hispanic like last time. Finished it off with her pin on her shirt. Boom! ![]() |
