About a year ago, almost to the day, I first fixed up a rendition of the Phantom. But, the head cast wasn't great and the paint job was sub par at best. I've wanted to revisit him ever since, but various things have held me up. The first was finding a proper head. Since I've been modifying and praising the Cap head so much, I decided to give it a shot. After sanding the A, wings, and ears off, it just required a full repaint. I actually like it a lot better than the cast one I had. The next problem was finding a good purple. I finally tried multiple mixes of my dark purples with my light purple until I finally found a decent mix that coated smoothly. I also hate his comic look with those striped shorts, so I went for something more like what he wore in the movie. Just looks so much better.
