I do wish the Clone Troopers had some sort of ball joint at the hip, so that he could sit a horse better, but he sits as well as the Chap Mei figure that goes with the horse. I picked the trooper because the joints are black, so I figured anything that didn’t get hit with paint, wouldn’t be a distraction, might even add as far as in-between the plate armor. I had to cut the neck post off the clone trooper with the dremel, but when I did, there was a “spot” that was dead center between the shoulders that was perfect for lining up a drill bit to make the hole for the knight’s head, which just popped off his body. Then I dry brushed some black to try and get some depth, attached the knight’s belt onto the new more articulated knight and here’s what I came up with. Seems like he may be a tiny bit on the slim side when standing next to the Chap Mei knight, but I figure I’ll take it for the increased articulation.
