This is a really good custom. I make diorama type-things too but differently. I love the way you incorporated the nendoroid Sonic into it. I'm kind of curious how you made the palm trees, totem poles, flowers etc. my system doesn't really make detail like that possible and I'm looking around for tips. (If you don't mind~)

Thanks a lot. I guess you could say im a junker. I use whatever I can find that seems to fit the bill of what I need. The tree trunks are bamboo that we painted and the leaves are hobby felt with wire on the underside of each leaf to give it that bend and then they were hot glued to the trunks. The flowers actually came as is from some old floral arrangements so all I had to do on those was make the stems which are the same wire wrapped with paper and painted. The totem poles are both diff.. The yellow one is made from a rolled up piece of foam and hobby felt
For the red parts and a sharpie for the faces. The wing thingies are foam board. The blue totem is fully made from foam board as well. The structure is styrofoam and all the bushy type things around are this expanding foam
Sealer I got from a hardware which expanded a little more than I expected so we ended up painting them green and using them as shrubs lol. The entire idea was made by my friend when I told her I wanted her to paint a base for my nendoroid figure. So I basically took a screen shot of the sonic generations stage and built all the structures and she handled all painting and brainstorming how we would get some things to work. The grass is also made from lime green felt and to try to give the background some depth my friend did a small portrait which we stuck to the back between the structures.

Thanks guys. I've always been on the site looking at the great tutorials and customs so I figured why not throw something up there too . I've got a few projects in the making and some that are just thought bubbles atm but I hope to have something new to show you guys soon. OMG!!! When I saw this diorama I made an account just to comment! Looks so pro, and well made, especially the paint job. Must have taken forever. My favorite parts are the lifelike trees and the fun totem poles. Can't wait to see more work and customs from you!! Keep up the good work and kudos on the best diorama I've seen so far
