I wanted to create Esther from the movie Orphan so decided to do a bust, made from clay, the main base and the head from putty. This was just simply a lot of sculpting. The block at the bottom is just a piece of wood with holes drilled in for the paint brushes and the hammer and then at both sides, a thin saw was used to create slits at the sides for the Esther paintings to fit. Two were painted by me, The blue painting with the women i deliberatly left the one side of the hair unpainted as it was in the movie as Esther was painting it,..i tried to capture Esther's style and the (neon)painting i googled and printed out plus the Orphan sign, then i painted the whole thing using acrylics.
