After revisiting my original Gambit as Death design, I remembered there was a new variation that I really wanted to make. A few years ago, some of the X-Men travelled to Limbo so retrieve Magik. The Death persona had been trying to take over Gambit's mind again, but consistently failed. Until they got to Limbo. I always liked him as Death, so I enjoyed his rather brief return. Not to mention he looked way cooler in the more traditional Gambit attire. Since I had been making some characters recently using Joe parts, I thought it'd be a good place to start. The Wetsuit body was the perfect place to start. Not sure who the lower arms came off of, but I added some sculpt to them for the rolled up jacket sleeves. Had to do some major dremeling to the knee joint so the Iron Man lower legs would fit on. The Commissioner Gordon jacket was a perfect fit, as well. After all that, I was a bit stuck on the head. Finding something with long hair that didn't look oversized on the body, or catch on the coat. Surprisingly, the perfect option came in the form of the Orlando Bloom Pirates of the Caribbean head. Worked quite well after it was all painted up. Glad to have this costume finally fixed up. So far my favorite design for him.
