Happy Canada Day!

Since it is Canada Day here in the Great White North, thought I would post my rendition of Captain Canuck (Modern Version). Captain Canuck was originally published in 1975 in Winnipeg by Richard Comely and drawn by George Freeman. He is getting a revival lately due to a modern update with an animated web series (Check it out on YouTube!) And a Canada Day Free Captain Canuck Comic. (Check you Canadian Comic Book Store!)

This is the modern interpretation of Captain Canuck you see in the Web Series.
The base is Captain America Movie version of Captain Britain. The backpack is a cut down Hammer Drone jet pack. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to finish his billy clubs. I wanted to upload on Canada Day so missed my deadline.

The big pic shows the classic and modern Canuck along with latest Captain Canuck poster (Signed by Richard Comely!)

Still plan on doing Modern Redcoat and Kebec - maybe by next Canada Day I will have the done.

Very nice. Great figure and you caught the new version perfectly. One piece of advice: invest in better quality paints. With cheap thin paints you have to keep adding layers and it gets tiresome.

Thanks! I agree on the paint. Was not happy with the paint on this one. I plan to redo this one but it may not be for awhile. Have a lot of other customs in the queue to finish first. Hopefully by next Canada Day!
