I recently had to switch to a new 3D program since my old one will be discontinued in the next years. The new one is called Modo. It works quite well. The cool thing is that it has an in-built sculpting tool that allows to make organic stuff like hair and fur much easier to be made then with polygon modeling. So far I made 3 figures. This was the 2nd figure I did. I wanted to challenge myself a little bit. So this one splits apart into two different parts that transform a little bit: A gun walker and a headwalker/ one wheeled warrior.
Story:
In the near future a giant asteroid is heading towards earth. Unable to stop the impact mankind builds giant shelters known as the Mother Towers where each human on earth will be stored in hibernation. Once the impact was over the giant automate laboratories inside the Mother Towers were supposed to rebuild the stored humans with cybernetic enhancements to adapt them to the changed environment on earth. Unfortunately the asteroid hit earth before the Mother Towers were completely operational. Those towers that survived the impact lacked the resources to restore mankind with the cyborg bodies originally conceived for life after the impact. Instead the Mother Towers created bizarre human-robot configurations from what materials they had left. So begun the age of the cyborgs.
