So, seeing how DC never did a story back in the Silver Age featuring an evil Crime Syndicate type team who were counterparts to the JSA, I decided to continue that with a Golden Age Superman equivalent of Ultraman. I have theorized that his secret identity is Clark Kent (AKA Kel-Ll) Editor in Chief of the Daily Star, and he is a member of a team called the Crime Assembly of America.

The figure was a moderately difficult piece to do. I took a DC Universe Classics Battle for Earth 3 boxset Ultraman and used the boil and pop method to remove the head, forearms, and ankles. Next, I used the boil and pop method to disassemble the lower legs of a DC Universe Classics Crime Syndicate 5 pack boxset Johnny Quick (I used Johnny Quick's lower legs because the boot tops on the existing Ultraman legs were merely painted on and had no definition to them). With the Johnny Quick legs fully disassembled, I used a little brush and roller cleaner to strip all of the paint from it. Next, I replaced the existing running shoe style feet from the Johnny Quick with those of the Ultraman. With the lower legs now reassembled, I gave the ankles and knees a base coat of light gray as a primer to cover up the yellow, and once the gray paint dried, I used the boil and pop method to attach them onto the Ultraman legs. Once attached, I gave the legs two healthy coats of Testors Model Masters Guards Red for the boots and Testors Model Masters Cobalt Blue for the leggings around the knees. Once the Guards Red and Cobalt Blue had dried, I gave it two generous coats of Flat Clear. With the legs now fully assembled, I set the figure aside and started working on the forearms.

To redo Ultraman's forearms properly, I took the forearms from a DC Universe Classics Wave 19 Golden Age Atom (I used the Atom's forearms because the wristbands on the existing Ultraman forearms were merely painted on and had no definition to them) and used my Dremel to sand off the buckles. Next, with the buckles sanded off, I applied a little bit of Milliput to the tops of the wristbands to repair the upper edge closest to the inside of the elbow which was removed when I sanded off the buckles. When the Milliput had finally dried, I sanded it smooth and repainted both wristbands with three generous coats of Testors Model Masters Guards Red. When the Guards Red dried, I attached the forearms to the Ultraman figure with the boil and pop method, and then gave the elbow area of the sleeve two generous coats of Testors Model Masters Cobalt Blue. Next, I reattached the Atom's hands to the forearms, and then gave the wristbands and sleeves two generous coats of Flat Clear. Once the Flat Clear had dried, I gave the neck and hands two generous coats of Testors Acryl Peach, followed by two generous coats of Flat Clear. Once the Flat Clear had dried, I attached the head from a DC Direct Crisis on Infinite Earths Series 2 Earth-2 Superman, and TA-DA...Ultraman, evil parallel universe version of the Earth-2 Superman and member of the Crime Assembly of America!!!
