Ragnar finally finished and studio-photoed.The challenging but the most fun part was to hide the deficiencies like lack of shield,knee pad etc..And then I thought..why not just cover these parts in blood and Tamiya Red Clear really came in handy, I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to achieve authentic looking blood..the good method is to use either acrylic or oil first ,first layer red+little black ,then second layer red+orange (as fresh blood is always lighter),then after its dry use Tamiya Clear red to cover it,but in a well ventilated room,the stuff is really toxic .After all is dry its good to use some nice varnish ,I used Dammar Varnish from LeFranc Bourgeois,little expensive but excellent to give high shine,and give this "fresh"look.It is also great to highlight the shine on armor etc. I am quite happy with results and the experimentation with new mediums seems to have paid off well:)Thank you for any comments and I really encourage anyone interested in painting figures (esp.Mcfarlanes) to give it a try -It feels great to make already cool figure even cooler:)
