Similar to Peter Parker, Klaus Voorhees was bitten by something radioactive: In his case, a snake. Calling himself the Cobra, he teamed up with Mr. Hyde to battle Thor. He later joined the Serpent Society. When he became the leader of the group, he renamed himself King Cobra.
Oh man, this one really lived up to his name, in that he shed his skin multiple times! Originally, I started out with a Hobgoblin body, Bullseye boots, and a Constrictor head. This really didn't inspire me, so it sat on the shelf for months. When I returned to it, I started sanding down the Hobgoblin torso. I didn't like it so I replaced it with a Madman torso. Now the hands and feet had to go, so I used Daredevil hands and Iron Fist feet. Then the biggest hurdle: Since I don't sculpt with clay, how to make the 'scaley' mask and helmet? I scrapped the Constrictor head. I took the top of a movie Lizard head and spliced it with a Cyclops head. I didn't like it, so I got rid of Cyclops and used the bottom half of Constrictor again. For the lower part of the mask, I thinly sliced parts of the Lizard's tail and attached them to the cheeks. The helmet was a lot of work. It started out as a Juggernaut helm. With a lot of sanding, attaching new plastic, and sculpting, I got the results. The snake ornament was from a Hobgoblin glider weapon. Then for the cape. I was debating whether to use foamy sheets (my first time using them, BTW)or a dishwashing glove. In the end, I used both. The rest is fodder.
