I never liked the figure options for Classic Vision that were put out by Toy Biz and Hasbro, so I chucked both of those figures from my collection and decided to try making one. I always liked Vision drawn as a slightly alien looking character: skinny with long limbs. After looking at different base possibilities, I decided to do the unthinkable and use a DCUC base for him after seeing the Black Lantern Abin Sur's proportions. DC articulation sucks though, so I switched out various parts as needed to improve the situation (still stuck with the limited DC style hips though). Originally, I wanted to spray paint this custom entirely, but none of the stores in my area had the green and yellow Tamiya paints I wanted to use. I finally ordered them online, but decided to hand paint him in the meantime as a "rough draft" version. I'll be spraying him down once the paint arrives and posting the updated pictures. Glad to finally have a version of Classic Vision I actually enjoy in my display!
