After watching the Winter Soldier movie I wanted to make a figure that did the Black Widow character justice. I know everyone is having a tough time finding a Widow on the shelves but besides the head sculpt, I wasn’t impressed.

She looked like Scarlett Johansson but didn’t have any of her curves. I fixed that. I wanted her to look more like a pinup drawn by Frank Cho or a variant J. Scott Campbell cover.

She is made of several figures, some of them are pretty hard to find like the Widow, Satanna and Black Cat. Once assembled, I sculpted a lot of parts, increasing some areas to be fuller.

Next I added two custom made holsters that were sculpted to her legs. I hated the factory figure’s nonfunctional holsters and refused to let my figure share them. So she also has two hand painted pistols that can be holstered on displayed in her hands.

She has a removable belt around her waist.

I then sculpted her Widow stingers on both wrists and painted them to look movie accurate.

They are gun metal and black painted to make them look as real as possible and to make the cast details pop.

She was given a custom paint job from head to toe. This includes the face which looked too plastic like with the original paint job. I wanted her to look pretty and be wearing subtle makeup.

She was primed using Citadel primer, and painted using Citadel, Tamiya, Formula P3, Model Masters, and other paints. Some areas are glossy and some are metallic. She was then sealed so there would not be any paint rub issues.

There is a ton of detail to the sculpt so repainting, dry brushing, washes, and advanced paint techniques were done to make the line work pop. Some areas are glossy,some flat and some are metallic. The colors are different shades of blacks, gunmetals, grays, reds, orange, and chromed silver.
