Flick from the 1960s 1/6 scale Johnny West/Best of the West series. The dog is built like a model: two hollow halves of hard plastic glued together. Bought a bunch of stuff by mail and naturally the rarest piece, the dog, got smashed. Hind quarters broken into pieces, tail off, cracked all around, front foot lost. So I rebuilt like a jigsaw puzzle, ran a long plastic rod from the tail through the nose to anchor it, then made a front foot by tracing the existing one and flipping it over, mirror fashion. Had to scab green putty all over to roughen his coat to make it match. Needed research to find out he's an English Setter. They're white with faint brown patches then totally random black speckles or patches, as if someone flicked a paintbrush at them. Fun and different project.
