I had wanted to make a MOTUC Darth Maul since Webstor came out and was going to convert him for this purpose. But after procrastinating I decided to convert a Horde Prime after hating both heads that came with the figure. All I saw when I looked at Horde Prime was samurai or ninja armor and the red and black colors made me think of Darth Maul immediately. The mech on the arms and silver gauntlets looked like a cyborg so I grabbed my Great Muta Charapro Mecha DX and stole the silver "alien cyborg samurai" mask from Muta which matched the gauntlets perfectly. I looked around until I found a cheap 1999 8" Phantom Menace Darth Maul and decapitated that sucker and filled the hollow head with sculpting putty. I created a putty base for the samurai mask as well to fit on the neck ball joint and drilled my neck holes for both the Darth Maul head and the Samurai mask. The Darth Maul head does not fit inside the mask, so they are technically alternate heads for Horde Prime and since I am not altering the body I can still use the 2 original crappy insect/old Hordak heads if I want. I am very happy with the look of this armored version of Darth Maul w Mecha Alien Cyborg Samurai Mask. I tossed the wimpy dual light saber and fitted Darth Maul with a giant Sky Breaker sword so he can destroy all who dare oppose him.
