This Samurai-esque Deadpool is the first custom figure I've ever actually completed, and my first submission to the Realm! I've been dabbling in customizing and lurking the site for a while now, but I've never actually managed to finish a project and get round to submitting it. At least that was the case, until I saw the Deadpool Daze contest! I'd had the idea of doing a Samurai style Deadpool for a while now, to the point that I had all the parts needed, so the timing of this contest was perfect! I had a blast putting him together, and I'm really pleased with the result. Now, onto the figure itself:

Samurai Deadpool is loosely based on some concept art I found online, though I altered the design in some areas to better fit the parts I had at my disposal. The recipe is as follows:

Head: Moonknight
Body and Upper Arms: US Agent
Lower Arms: Loki
Hands: Epic Heroes Punisher
Belt: Neca Bulletstorm
Legs and Feet: McFarlane Toys Onimusha 2 Yagyu Jubei

Samurai Deadpool comes with 2 swords (one from Jubei, the other from the fodder bin), two daggers (from Legolas), and two revolvers (casts from Casting Cave). His coat also comes from the Jubei figure, though I altered it slightly by adding the shoulder-pads/armour and painting the Deadpool logo on the back. The logo on the belt is from Hasbro Deadpool's belt, as is the holster on his leg. The sword holders are made using cable ties and Apoxie sculpt. Everything was repainted using Citadel paints, with the exception of the coat, which I thought only needed the logo added. I chose to change the style of his mask slightly because I thought it better suited the Samurai theme.
