In keeping with my theme of using parts on hand to make quick but satisfying (to me, anyways!) customs, today's quickly thrown together figures are an X-23 and a classic but slightly upgraded Black Widow BYOH (Bring Your Own Head) base body compatible with all the heads from every Legends Black Widow figure released (including the recent Cap 2 Widow's heads). X-23 on the ASMSG body was an obvious choice when everyone first saw the new base body, and I'd been meaning to put one together for a while now (it's been posted by other people already, but whatever... it's not a race. =). For my recipe, I removed the white details from the SG figure with my standard Goof Off chemical treatment, gave a quick coat of black, and threw on TBML X-23's arms and lower legs, a fodder head from my bin, fodder x-belt, and claws from ROML Wolverine. For Widow, it was just your basic repaint of ROML Mystique, with TBMLBW bracelets and belt. I then threw on the leftover SG lower legs, giving Widow nicely updated leg articulation. I can swap any Widow head on quickly, but since this figure is going on my classic shelf, I'll probably be sticking with the old Toy Biz head (which for some reason I've always been partial to). Again, really fast and easy customs that anyone can crank out if their low on time like me. Enjoy!
